Summer Fun

 

Summer is in full swing around here.  No more alarm clocks!  Woohoo!!  Sometimes we don't make it out of pajamas. Oh well.  What we have been up to so far:  VBS, pool days, bounce house and ballet camp.

Father's Day 2013

We had a great Father's Day celebration last weekend that started Saturday night. We celebrated the 3 greatest dads ever! 

We celebrated with Bobby on Saturday night.  We had lasagna, salad, bread and cheesecake.  All of his favorites!  We gave him homemade cards and a new camouflage Tervis cup.  The kids also did a little dance performance for him that was pretty funny. 

Before we had kids I never doubted that Bobby would be a great dad.  From the minute he held Abby for the first time Bobby has just been  a natural daddy.  When I was in the hospital both times he had to take care of the kids all by himself and he never skipped a beat.  He changed diapers, gave bottles, dressed, undressed and swaddled from the beginning.  He is there for every important event in the kids' lives.  He teaches them, disciplines them and plays with them.  While he is the main  disciplinarian in our house he is also the fun parent.  He tells silly jokes, plays video games and wrestles in the floor with all of them.  We are so lucky to have him!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



 

 



 

I was also lucky enough to celebrate with my own dad on Father's day.  I just can't say enough wonderful things about my dad.  He is such a hard working, honest family man.  He is always helping others.  I know that I can always rely on him.  I probably  drove him crazy when I owned my house with my ongoing hatred for my lawn mower.  He spent many hours helping me fix up that little house and we spent a lot of time there together.  Not only is he a great dad but he's a wonderful Pawpaw.  He's always holding a baby or watching one of the kids. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also celebrated with my Father in Law this weekend.  Bob is a great dad and papa.  He is always there when we need anything.  He also did a pretty good job at raising a great son! :)

Last Game of the Season

We played our last game of the season a few weeks ago.  The boys had a great time playing this year.  Nana, Papa and Karlie came out to cheer them on at their last game.  We all enjoyed our first official season of baseball as a family but we were ready for it to be over.  It was starting to get a little warm out there for us!
