It's official! I don't have babies anymore. The twins are such big boys now. Like most boys they want to be outside constantly. Every time we pull into the garage I hear, "Ride bikes, Mommy?". It was a little sad when they learned to ride their tricycle. That made them seem like such big boys. However, now they have conquered Abby's bike. They love to ride it when she is at school ( and they can get away with it). This really makes them seem like big kids when you see them pedaling a bike down the driveway. Maybe (if they are good) Santa will bring them their own bikes for Christmas.

Noah-one cool little dude
Other interesting things the boys are into these days:
brushing teeth- They like to brush them several times a day. This includes any time they walk past the bathroom or see anyone else brushing. They hang off the side of the sink and spit toothpaste everywhere.
taking showers-I run whenever I hear the tub water running. This means they are playing in the tub and soon after they discover the shower knob. Usually, this happens fully clothed when we are about to walk out the door.
switching names-They like to switch names on their teachers. They think this is so funny. They also like to refer to themselves as Leroy. (Thank you Pawpaw!)
flushing the toilet-They flush all the toilets several times a day.
climbing the steps-They like to hurry up the steps and slam the gate before the other one can get up there.
hiding-They hide in all the closets, under the beds, etc.
getting water out of the refrigerator door-The child lock has to be on all the time.
singing-Nathan has always been a little singer but now Noah has joined him. It is adorable. They can both sing the blessing, God Our Father.
unlocking doors-They can take a utensil from the play kitchen and unlock any door in the house. Goodbye privacy!
climbing out of their beds-Noah climbs out constantly and fights his naps. Now he will usually wait for Nathan to go to sleep and then just climb out to come find me. Nathan has a couple of times but he has no reason to because he loves to sleep. (like his mama :) )
tantrums-Boy, they can pitch some! I have learned to just walk away. Usually the will come to find me and tell me "I'm done crying now."
cuddles and kisses-Even though they are so busy and into everything they always have time for kisses and hugs. They are such little cuddle bugs!
They are just the funniest little guys. It is just a whole different world than with a little girl. I am learning slowly. It's a challenge trying to stay 2 steps ahead of 2 curious, active little boys. They will be grown before I can blink an eye. I just need to enjoy every wild, crazy, chaotic minute! |
