Writer or Artist?

What will our little princess decide to do when she grows up?  It is so much fun getting all of her papers and work from school.  I love to see what progress she has made in just 4 short months of kindergarten.  She is showing a lot of interest these days in writing and art.  This thrills me because I have absolutely no talents in these areas.  She brought home this turkey a few weeks ago.  When I saw it I thought the teacher just gave them a color sheet.  She told me that the teacher gave them a circle pattern for the body and showed an example.  She drew the rest freehand.  I was so impressed.

They wrote Santa letters at school this week.  Abby came home and wrote another one at home.  She just started writing sentences a few weeks ago so I thought she did great.  She can write as well  as some of my second grade students did.  (I am a little biased.)  Here's her letter:



Dear Santa,
I would like a doll  house please.  I would like a toy reindeer please.
