Last week we were hit with about 3-4 inches of snow. They were only calling for our area to get trace amounts and then it hit. People were stranded on the roads, kids stranded at schools, etc. It was crazy. It took Bobby 9 hours to get home that day. Sadly, he was probably one of the lucky ones. I sat here and watched it snow that morning and didn't think too much of it. I was relieved that they called schools and headed out about 20 minutes early to pick up the kids. When I left, I knew! It was already pretty bad out there. I took pictures as I left my house and as I left the school to head home which was 5-10 minutes apart. It was amazing how much worse it was! I have wanted snow for months but I couldn't enjoy it Tuesday although it was beautiful. I was so worried about Bobby and everyone else on the roads. After he finally made it home late that night I was able to relax and the kids loved every minute of it. We took them out a few times but it was freezing!! Due to the road conditions, we ended up with 3 1/2 days of snow days. It was a nice relaxing few days and the kids did lots and lots of playing. They pulled out every toy in the house but they sure had a good time! The groundhog saw his shadow around here so we're supposed to have an early spring. As cold as it's been this whole winter I wouldn't be surprised if we had a little more snow this year.
