St. Simon's Day 6
It was back to our little beach for a day of riding the waves, playing in the sand and relaxing. Today was our last day so we made the most of it. We were up bright and early (for us) and on the beach by 9:00. The beach was beautiful at that time of the day. We took a walk with the kids and found this little tide pool. There were tons of hermit crabs which the boys started collecting by the handfuls. Of course that meant Mommy had to carry part of them back. We also saw lots of schools of little fish and several good sized crabs. It was a super neat area but I wish we had discovered it earlier in the week. The boys could have stayed there for hours. After running to DQ for some lunch we packed up and hit the public beach for the afternoon. We had planned to come in early but ended up staying out until almost 5:00. Everyone hated to leave knowing it was our last day. We cleaned up and headed back to the beach for our family pictures. Everyone showed a lot of patience to me as I snapped tons of pictures. After that we headed out for one more night of seafood before we came back to start packing. Boo! We had a wonderful, relaxing week and I can't wait to go back next year!!!
