The boys got haircuts last week. They are so calm now for haircuts. After the screaming, kicking fits of the toddler years, I am so thankful that they like getting haircuts. The ladies that cut their hair just love them. They both look so handsome!
We had 5 year old checkups last week for the boys. Dr. Williams gave the boys (at mommy's request) a little pep talk on veggies and drinking water. I have really been pushing the healthy food lately. Noah and Abby are actually doing a lot better but Nathan is struggling with eating any veggies. He wants milk and juice all the time and doesn't like water but we are really trying. After his pep talk we actually got him to eat a few bites of salad. It was a miracle! The child hates all vegetables.
Another thing we are working on as the kids get older is the cleaning. I am so tired of doing dishes and feel like I spend a good portion of my life in the kitchen. We are letting the kids take over dinner dishes duty. Everyone clears their own plates and the boys handle cleaning the place mats and table. Abby has been helping me clean out the dishwasher and load it. Then they take turns sweeping. It's not a perfect job but they actually do pretty good. It would be quicker to do it myself but this will pay off in the long run. Everyone actually has a pretty good attitude about helping. My babies are growing up!
