The BIG Day!

After 2 long years of sleepless nights and a lot of hard work Bobby finished his accounting degree.  He did all of this while transitioning into a new job at work.  I am so proud of him.  It is always super hard to go back to school as a non traditional student while you are working a full time job.  Add in a wife, 3 kids and a new job!  There were so many nights that he could barely hold his eyes open but he would go down about 9:30 or 10:00 after the kids were all settled for the night to start his school work.  Towards the end he even doubled up so that he could go ahead and finish.  He set an amazing example to our kids by working so hard to achieve his goal!

A couple of weeks ago we, along with our parents, set out on a road trip to Indiana Wesleyan University so that he could walk in graduation.  It was a fun little trip.  The kids were happy that daddy was graduating and thrilled to be staying in a hotel for 2 nights.  It was a long drive but the kids are pretty good travelers so they did well. We arrived the night before and had a nice dinner.  Then next morning we headed on over to the college.  We checked out the campus a little before the ceremony and then went on in  to save our seats.  It was a very nice ceremony with a great speaker.  Bobby managed to take pictures and film the walk in the chapel.  He is the only one I know that would film his own graduation.  Afterwards everyone cooperated for some pretty pictures outside.  The campus was beautiful.  It was a great day for our family and we were glad our parents could be there to share it with us.
