Last weekend we celebrated a very special event at our house. We hosted a party to celebrate Bob and Raydene's 50th anniversary. These days not many people are fortunate enough to celebrate that milestone. We worked hard the weeks before finishing up some projects and getting the house in good shape. We have been talking about this party for the last year because we knew we wanted to mark this occasion. Dinner was bbq and all the yummy sides. We topped that off with a beautiful 50th anniversary cake. The highlight of the night was watching the slide show that Bobby had prepared. He stayed up the entire night before finishing it up. He set the pictures to some perfect songs and it was awesome. There were lots of laughs and some tears. It was priceless and I definitely think that was their favorite part of the night. Of course, the other highlight for the rest of us was watching them feed each other their wedding cake. I wish I had the video because you wouldn't believe the all of the laughing in that video. It was hysterical!! They got some great gifts to for some fun little trips to take in the mountains.
We truly felt so blessed to be a part of this special day. Like all couples, I know their life hasn't always been easy. They have always managed to put their family first and built a great life together. What an wonderful example you have set for your family!
