A "Magical" Birthday Surprise

Bobby and I have been working on a birthday surprise for the boys for several months.   I can't believe it but we managed to pull it off and surprise all 3 kids.  We took a few days off school and went to Disney World.  Abby got to go for her 5th birthday and I really wanted the boys to go for their 5th birthday.  We left Wednesday afternoon after we picked up Abby from school.  I told them we were going to meet Bobby at work and go to dinner (which we never do).  No one really questioned it or noticed that the back of the van was packed.  I told them that I brought their pillows and  blankets because it was a long drive.  We got to Bobby's office and he moved all of the luggage and car seats into his car and still no one questioned what we were doing.  We drove about 2 hours and stopped for fast food.  Abby seemed a little confused at this point.  We then drove about 3 more hours to the hotel.  We told them the surprise was that we were spending the night in a hotel.  Nathan asked how we would get to school the next day.  They were so excited at the thought of spending the night in a hotel that they still didn't question us.  Poor Bobby still had a paper to type so I got the kids settled in bed.  We didn't dare tell them that night because we knew we would get no sleep.

We got everyone up the next morning and dressed.  We all packed our bags and got ready to walk out the door.  Then we told them we actually had another big surprise. We laid out their Mickey Christmas shirts on the bed and had them walk in to find them.  At first they just stared at them and then we asked where they could wear the shirts.  It took a minute but then everyone started yelling and jumping up and down.  I think the entire hotel was able to share in the big surprise.   It wasn't easy keeping this to ourselves or packing for 5 people in secret but it was all worth it when we saw their reaction.  Priceless!
