Parents' Night at Ballet

This year we didn't have Christmas parties or performances at ballet.  With all of the work that goes into preparing for the Nativity I don't know how they managed to do that anyway.  Instead we were invited to sit in on a regular class this week.   Abby has had extra practice for about 6 weeks for the Nativity so this was perfect.  I really enjoyed seeing a "typical" class.  They went through all of their stretches and then practiced all of their positions.  They practiced some ballet runs across the floor and had a few minutes of free dance.  I was amazed at how much they have learned this year.  What is even more impressive is that they have learned all of the french terms for these positions.  I am so glad that Abby has chosen to stick with ballet and we love her dance studio.  She is with Ms. Julie again this year and she couldn't be happier.
