Christmas Night

We headed out to Mimi and Pawpaw's on Christmas night to celebrate with them.  Mimi always fixes one of our favorite meals.  It's all snacks and appetizers.  Chicken nuggets, meatballs, ham, dips, chips and lots of desserts!  After we stuffed ourselves we finally opened gifts.  We all draw names and then Mimi and Pawpaw spoil us with lots of presents.  The kids were all excited about their new toys and had a great time opening everything. We stayed pretty late hanging out with everyone and then finally headed home with lots of goodies to eat later.  We had a wonderful 2 days of celebrating and we are so lucky to have all of our family in town.  I never manage to get many pictures at Mimi and Pawpaws but when you have 6 kids running around it's a little challenging to remember to get pictures!

Flipeez for all!  Thanks Mimi!

Merry Christmas!!!

Abby woke us up bright and early on Christmas morning at around 7:00.   That is actually late for our crew of sleepers.  The boys were still snoozing away but she was so excited she was practically shaking.  We convinced her to crawl in bed with us to snuggle for just a minute but she could barely contain herself.  Finally we got up and Bobby went to wake the boys.  He said "Santa" and they shot straight up.  Of course, they stumbled in to our room and crawled back in bed with me for a minute.  We headed down to set up all of the cameras and lights so we could film their entrance.  They were all so excited to see what Santa had brought them.  Everyone just moved from present to present checking everything out.  Finally we sat down to open a few gifts.  Everyone got just what they wanted this Christmas.  After we opened gifts Daddy started on breakfast.  We had French toast, bacon, sausage and eggs.  At the last minute I decided to break out my Christmas dishes so we set a very pretty Christmas table.  After breakfast, we bundled up to head out to try out our scooters and the boys' remote control cars.  Of course, we didn't get out of our pajamas for this little adventure.  We came back in and the kids played with their toys until time to head out to Mimi and Pawpaws.  I managed to squeeze in a little nap.  Poor Daddy stayed outside in the cold and put together their new basketball goal.

Christmas Eve 2013

We spent the morning of Christmas Eve finishing up our bread dough ornaments and baking cookies.  Then that evening we picked up pizza and headed to Nana and Papa's for our Christmas Eve celebration.  We had pizza and all sorts of sweets before we opened gifts.  Of course, the kids couldn't wait to open presents.  The kids got a ton of stuff that night and they were so excited.  After we opened gifts we all hung out and talked for a while.  Finally, we packed up to head home to get ready for Santa's arrival.  First we put out some reindeer food  outside.  Then we came in and chose some cookies that we thought Santa might like and poured him a nice cold glass of milk.  We left everything out on the fireplace for him and headed to bed.  The kids kept saying they wouldn't be able to sleep (especially Abby)  but I think they were all sound asleep within a few minutes.
