September Misc.

The school year is trucking along.  We stay busy all week running around and seem to just collapse on the weekends.  We had a couple of cases of strep throat this past week.  Abby and Noah had it so we hope the rest of us escape it.  The boys had Apple day at school.  They made apple hats, taste tested apples and had homemade apple sauce.  (I always loved seeing the kindergartners in all of the little hats they made when I taught school.)  The kids had their school pictures.  I wanted to take a picture before they left.  Obviously, I wasn't thinking how hard it would be to have 3 kids picture ready by 7:30 AM.  I went to have lunch with the kids last week and the boys invited some of their new friends to eat with us.

Blinded by the flash but check our her cute outfit for school pictures.

Monster Trucks

On Friday night we met up with all of the cousins and went to see Monster Trucks at one of the local speedways.  Nathan and Noah had gone before but none of the other kids had ever seen the trucks.  We got there early enough to go down on the track to check out the trucks.  The kids really enjoyed it and loved getting to see their cousins.  It was a fun night but we were all exhausted (especially mommy).

This and That

We have been busy little bees around here lately.  Abby has been super busy with ballet and now adding chorus to the mix.  So far, she seems to be handling it well.  The boys are adjusting well to kindergarten.  I am just trying to learn to keep up with school papers times three, packing lunches for 3, doing homework for 3, etc.

Friday was Spirit Day at school so all the kids went in their UGA gear.  The Dawgs might not have won but they have some of the cutest fans ever!

We had a nice 3 day weekend for Labor Day.  We spent most of our time at home but that was just what we wanted.  Abby went to a "Camp Rock" birthday party for her best friend Mikayla.  They swam, sang karaoke and watched a movie on the big screen from floats in the pool.  She, of course, had a  ball.  We surprised the boys and took them to see Planes.  Noah was so sweet because as we were walking in he said, "It's too bad that Abby couldn't come with us."  They loved the movie and passed out on the way home.  We spent Saturday working around the house and the boys enjoyed playing in the rain.  On Sunday, Bobby set up a tent in the boys room and the "3 boys" had a campout complete with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.  Of course, we had to have smores since we were having a campout.  (Abby and I did participate in that part!)  We finished off our weekend with a  family cookout on Monday.  Why can't all weekends be 3 days?

Worn out after the movies!

A great way to watch a movie!
