Play Ball!!!

The boys officially started T-ball this spring.  So far, they love it.  It is so much fun to watch.  The batter might hit the ball, run out to get it, throw it to first to  get themselves out and then run to first.  When a ball is hit into the field the entire team runs for it and it looks more like football.  One person jumps up with the ball and the coach has to convince them to throw it to first.  Hysterical!  They have had 2 practices now and 2 games.  It amazes me how much the boys have picked up in that short time.  They have no problem hitting it off the tee.  They are both doing a good job with stopping the ground balls with their glove.  The best part is it keeps their interest and they are just all smiles.  Bobby is also helping out with the coaching and he loves it! Now, if I can just keep the princess entertained during the games! :)

Here are some pictures of my little ball players at their first game:

Spring Break Camping Trip

Over the kids spring break we took a little weekend camping trip with the whole family.  We went over Friday night and didn't come home until Sunday morning.  We camped in a tent and the kids loved it.  Of course, the first night the temperature dropped to the low 40's and we froze despite our little space heater and mounds of blankets.  The kids had a great time with their cousins.  They rode bikes and scooters, dug in the rocks, played with their Tonka trucks, played on the playground and even played some video games when they were pooped.  They played hard all weekend and wore themselves out.  The adults relaxed (a little), cooked, ate, took a few walks and just enjoyed not having much planned.
A little early morning gaming...

The men did most of the cooking!!!

Easter

We started off our Easter festivities by dying eggs on Saturday night.  Notice Noah's choice of apparel during the dying.  Yes, he was wearing a Santa hat or what he refers to as his "sleeping hat."  The next morning we all headed to church and after that our entire family came over for lunch.  We had a terrific lunch.  Then the cousins all had a lot of play time while waiting for the weather to clear up.  The weather was yucky but it finally cleared up enough for us to have a quick egg hunt.  Jonathan had the hunting down this year.  He was so cute.  Of course, all of the big kids hit the yard at a run.  I can't believe how big they have all gotten.  It was a great day celebrating with family!
