Easter party

The boys had an egg hunt and icecream party to celebrate Easter at school.  Another parent brought in pizza so they had plenty of junk food.  They had a great time with their friends eating and being silly.  At the end of the party the Easter bunny decided to make an appearance so the kids loved that.  Abby was very disappointed that 3rd grade doesn't do an egg hunt at school.  At the last minute they decided to do a "candy" hunt so she was excited about that.

Our New Camper

We recently decided to buy a camper.  Everyone on my side of the family already has one and we all love going camping together.  We have really started enjoying hiking and biking with the kids so we thought this would be a good way to start taking more little weekend trips.  Bobby picked it up and headed straight to the campground.  We decided to try it out immediately.  He was held up at the dealership so I had to quickly throw some gear together.  I actually managed to get most of what we need.  We had a very short weekend but the weather cleared up for us and we enjoyed what time we had.  Of course, the kids were excited beyond belief and couldn't wait to try it out.  We have everything we need in it but just enough space for everyone to spread out a little.  I think we are really going to enjoy it.

Bike Trip

Bobby and I have really started to enjoy  biking lately.  So we planned a trip for just the two of us one day on a local trail.  We had a goal of about 20 miles but we didn't realize that we chose the hilliest path to take.  We eventually turned around and headed back to the flatter section of the trail.  I think I made it about 14-15 miles.  Bobby took me back to the car and got in about 5 more miles so he actually made the goal.  We started off bright and early that morning and there were not many people out.  It was such a nice, peaceful ride.  We had lots of pretty country scenery to see.  Bobby packed us all up for this trip and hauled everything on his bike all day.  I just showed up and rode!!  We had a great time and hopefully we can find time to do this again.
