Last Bit of Christmas

The kids had lots of Christmas activities planned for the last week of school.  Unfortunately, Abby and Noah came down with the flu and missed part of the last week of school.  We also missed Pawpaw's family Christmas which we were to host.  So, Pam had to take that over at the last minute.  We also missed seeing Santa at the Festival of Trees this year.  Thank goodness we were all better by the actual holiday.

Christmas Night

We headed over to Mimi and Pawpaw's for Christmas night.  We have a yummy dinner of appetizers and dips.  It's one of our favorite Christmas meals that we look forward to every year.  This was Lily Ann's first Christmas so that made it extra special.  We had a great time celebrating with everyone and Mimi's house was decorated from top to bottom.  It was so festive.  This year we decided to line everyone up to pass out gifts because it usually gets so chaotic.  It worked out pretty good.  All the kids loved their gifts and they were so excited.  Once they opened their gifts we let them play and the adults opened their gifts.  It worked out great this way and the kids didn't have to wait long.  This was a great end to another wonderful Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

The kids woke up bright and early Christmas morning. Well, actually Abby woke up bright and early and we had to wake up the boys.  They really enjoy their sleep!   They were so excited to go see what Santa brought.  He brought them the few things they asked for and added in a few surprises.  We are mean parents.  We make them wait at the top of the stairs until we could get  the two cameras ready.  As soon as they turned the corner and saw everything they started squealing.  They loved all of their gifts.  After we opened gifts and they started playing with everything we started breakfast.  Bobby made french toast, bacon, sausage and eggs.  We even used our special Christmas china.  Breakfast was delicious.  After breakfast we played and rested before we headed to Mimi's and Pawpaw's for Christmas night.
