Lily Ann

We have a new little girl on the way.  Recently, we gave Tonya a baby shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Lily Ann.  This will be grandchild #7 for my family and only the 2nd girl.  Abby has kept her only girl status until now and I think she's more than ready to have another little girl in the family.  For the shower, it was all about the pink and clothes.  It was so much fun shopping for a baby girl again.  We has a great turnout with family, old friends and newer friends from Tonya's Sunday School class.  I forgot how much I love sitting around eating shower food, drinking tons of sugary punch and just talking to other ladies.  We had the best time and Tonya got lots of wonderful gifts.  Of course there were lots of clothes!!  She also got her baby bedding from Mimi so she can get her nursery set up. (Get busy Brad!)  Now, we just need a baby!  Less than a month to go!!!!!  We can't wait to meet this sweet baby girl!

We are having a fit over something cute with her name monogrammed on it!

A tutu bow holder from Abby!  We need to fill that thing up!

So sweet!

Riverfest 2014

Last weekend we spent some time at a fall festival.  The kids got to hang out with their cousins and play some fair games.  We had a little junk food and I did a little shopping.  I managed to get some of my favorite Christmas candles and a cute new flag.

Happy 50th Anniversary!!

Last weekend we celebrated a very special event at our house.  We hosted a party to celebrate Bob and Raydene's 50th anniversary.  These days not many people are fortunate enough to celebrate that milestone.   We worked hard the weeks before finishing up some projects and getting the house in good shape.  We have been talking about this party for the last year because we knew we wanted to mark this occasion.  Dinner was bbq and all the yummy sides.  We topped that off with a beautiful 50th anniversary cake.  The highlight of the night was watching the slide show that Bobby had prepared.  He stayed up the entire night before finishing it up.  He set the pictures to some perfect songs and it was awesome.  There were lots of laughs and some tears.  It was priceless and I definitely think that was their favorite part of the night.  Of course, the other highlight for the rest of us was watching them feed each other their wedding cake.  I wish I had the video because you wouldn't believe the all of the laughing in that video.  It was hysterical!!  They got some great  gifts to for some fun little trips to take in the mountains.

We truly felt so blessed to be a part of this special day.  Like all couples, I know their life hasn't always been easy.  They have always managed to put their family first and built a great life together. What an wonderful example you have set for your family!

Ready for the slide show...

After looking back at old pics, Bobby decided that he actually invented photo bombing!

With her "small cup" of cream cheese the bakery sent her.

I believe she's threatening him to be nice!

Not sure if I'd trust that face?

The Happy Couple!
